Coach Troy

Head Coach Troy Marcikic has been coaching competitive swimmers since 2006. He swam for Coach Kim Musch at UC Santa Cruz and spent summers working at Nike Swim Camps.  Troy has worked with Masters swimmers, International medalists, age group record holders, and world class triathletes. This has led to the development of a practical coaching style that provides consistently positive results.

As a club team coach, Troy has worked with two USA Swimming Silver Medal Clubs.  During his time as head coach at Cathedral Catholic High School, the school was crowned CIF Team Champions for 3 years straight. Troy also spent time as the Lead Coach in San Diego with Olympian, medal winner, and founder of The Race Club, Gary Hall Sr.

Coach Troy’s swimming career began later than most as he transitioned to swimming in high school from a career in soccer. As a college swimmer he was a school record holder, All American, and part of the UCSC Men’s highest ranked NCAA DIII team in the school’s history.
